BE

I strongly believe that any artist should travel to enhance and develop a different point-of-view and perception. How we view our tiny little world influences our thoughts, imagination, ideas, and artistry plus  a million other things. Just think how exponential this would be when you place yourself in the shoes of others and see the world from their point…

Poets often ask me how can they improve their art, this is my answer. Travel, experience the world and gather inspiration. When you are surrounded by the same things, odds are you will write or express the same things.

Happy National Poetry Month

“If you, an artist, the one who cannot manage figures,
you look like an orator who cannot manage words.”
Leonardo da Vinci

I am so feeling these words by da Vinci. If you are the master, how can you not manage your handles? It happens all the time. Sometimes we feel undeserving of such power or overwhelmed. We often worry about how others will receive our talents.

Well, it’s my pleasure to tell you all, I DON’T care one bit anymore. I’ve been exceptional my whole life. I have never worried about being accepted, so why would I worry if my poetry is accepted. I no longer do!

Enjoy the rest of this beautiful week here (on the east coast)
